Summer

The summer sessions…

Monthly 90 minute yin out sessions

Sundays: 6th July, 10th August & 7th September 2025

  • Sundays: 6th July, 10th August, 7th Sept 2025

    1 - 2:30pm, The Yoga Shala,Edinburgh EH6 4DF,

    £25

  • These 90 minute yin yoga sessions will be focussed around the heart and small -intestine chi (summer meridians) and also the lung chi to help keep the respiratory system nourished. All this work will support the energy in the body to help carry you through the season and give you some tools to support yourself if you’re travelling.

When we move further towards late summer, we shall start to explore the spleen and the stomach channels.

As we strive to nourish the element of fire, this element reminds us that happiness is shared space and we’re on this journey together. Fire reminds us that no one goes alone.

Who is this class suitable for?

All levels - the Yin asana can be quite intense so all props are provided to support.  Nadine will also give some restorative options if the Yin work gets too intense.

    What to expect.

The session will begin with some gentle seated or supine movement to warm the body and help focus the mind to the breath.

Then we get into the deep Yin poses where we can really crawl into ourselves and enjoy the quiet space surrounding us.

A short yoga nidra and grounding pranayama will complete your practice, giving you tools to carry the rest and nourishment with you into the rest of your day. You may wish to take a quiet day at home to enjoy the full benefits of your practice and have some good, delicious, nourishing food.

During this time of being free from requirements or expectations, Nadine strives for you to leave with a replenished heart ready to see the good in all you do and in others too.

Nourishing the earth element

A grounding yin mini retreat

Saturday 6th September 2025

  • Saturday 6th September 2025

2 - 5 pm at Lila Yoga Edinburgh

    £45

  • Come and join me for one of my signature mini-retreats. This session is centred  on the element of earth, providing space and time to cultivate a deep sense of groundedness as the seasons begin to shift.

The practice will be focussed around the spleen and stomach chi (late summer meridians) and also the lung chi to help keep the respiratory system nourished. All this work will support the energy in the body to help carry you through the season and give you some tools to support yourself with any changes in your life, worries or anxiety.

As we strive to nourish the element of earth, this element reminds us that by bringing our energies into harmony, we can support ourselves and others. We can adapt to situations and feel more grounded, full and comfortable with who we are, wherever we are.

The autumnal equinox session.

A supportive yin mini retreat

Sunday 14th September 2025

  • Sunday 14th September 2025

1 - 4 pm at Ashtanga Yoga Edinburgh

    £45

  • Why not come and retreat with me to welcome in Autumn and celebrate the Autumnal Equinox with deep rest and nourishment? This session is centred around the Autumnal Equinox  - giving you some time to connect with yourself as the seasons shift and the cooler days kick in.

During this season we’re seeking to nurture the element of metal, supporting the immune system, respiratory function and settling the nervous system.

Metal also helps us to let go of what is no longer helpful and assists us in holding onto habits that are supportive and healthy.
